Terms of Service

Last updated: 20 August 2026

These Terms are a contract between you and Better Planet LLC (doing business as "One Place") governing your use of the App. By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App. Important: Sections 6 to 14 describe risks that you assume and limit our liability, and Section 16 governs how disputes are resolved. Please read them carefully.

1. What One Place is (and is not)

One Place is a platform that helps people discover and communicate with each other around shared interests and places — including dating (Connect, Double Date, date pools and plans), boats and yachts (Yacht Mode), hotels (Hotel Mode), gyms and training partners (the Gym modes), going out at night (Party Partner), live venue rooms (Places), pets and pet care (Pets), attraction and experience plans, coworking spaces, and the Wellness area. One Place only provides the introduction and communication tools. We are not a dating agency or matchmaker, a travel agency, charter broker or tour operator, a gym, medical, mental-health or wellness provider, a hotel or hospitality operator, a nightlife promoter or event organizer, a pet-care, pet-sitting or veterinary provider, an attraction or ticketing operator, an employment or staffing agency, a marketplace, escrow or payment processor, or an insurer. We do not organize, supervise, host, insure or take part in any meeting, date, trip, workout, event or arrangement between users, and we are not a party to anything users agree between themselves.

2. Eligibility

By using the App you represent and warrant that you: are at least 18 years old; can form a binding contract; are not prohibited from using the App under applicable law; have never been convicted of a sexual offence or violent crime and are not required to register as a sex offender anywhere; and have not previously been banned from One Place.

3. Your account

Provide accurate information, keep your credentials secure, and don't impersonate anyone or create an account for someone else. One account per person. You are responsible for all activity that happens under your account; tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorized use.

4. Community rules

You agree not to: harass, threaten, or abuse anyone; post unlawful, hateful, or sexually exploitative content, or anything involving minors; spam, scam, advertise or solicit money; post fake profiles or misrepresent your age; scrape data or use bots; use the App for anything illegal; or attempt to disrupt or gain unauthorized access to the App. Violations may lead to content removal, suspension, or a permanent ban.

5. Your content and our rights

You keep ownership of your content and grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license (sublicensable to our service providers) to host, store, adapt for technical purposes and display it as needed to operate the App (e.g., showing your profile to others and delivering your messages). This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except where already shared or legally required. You are solely responsible for your content and confirm you have the rights to share it. If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them without obligation to you. The App itself — its brand, design, software and content other than user content — belongs to One Place or its licensors; you may not copy, resell or reverse engineer it except where the law allows.

6. In-person meetings — assumption of risk

We do not run criminal background checks, and we do not verify any user's identity, age, health, qualifications or intentions (see Section 9 on verification). Anyone you meet through the App is a stranger. If you choose to communicate with or meet another user — one-on-one or in a group — you do so voluntarily and entirely at your own risk, and you are solely responsible for your own safety, decisions and conduct. Take sensible precautions: meet in public, tell someone where you are going, arrange your own transport, and never share financial information. Safety features in the App (verification badges, reporting, blocking) are aids only and do not guarantee safety. The App is not an emergency service — if you are in danger, contact local emergency services immediately. To the maximum extent permitted by law, One Place is not responsible or liable for the acts or omissions of any user, online or offline, including assault, stalking, harassment, misrepresentation, theft, property damage, emotional or physical harm, sexually transmitted conditions, or any other injury or loss arising from user interactions, matches or meetings.

7. Activity modes — specific disclaimers

Everything in Section 6 applies to every mode of the App. In addition, and to the maximum extent permitted by law:

8. AI features — no professional advice

Some features may use artificial intelligence (for example moderation assistance or suggestions). AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete or inappropriate despite our safeguards; it is provided for convenience only, is not advice of any kind (medical, legal, financial, safety or otherwise), and does not represent statements of fact by One Place. You are responsible for how you use it. If we ever offer conversations with AI personas, they will be identified as such. Nothing in the App is professional advice of any kind.

9. Verification and profile information

The "Verified" badge only means that, at one moment in time, a selfie appeared to match the user's profile photos through automated processing. It is not proof of identity, age, character or safety, and it is not a background check. Profile information is provided by users and may be false, incomplete or outdated. Do not rely on a badge or a profile as a guarantee of anything.

10. Payments between users

One Place is not a marketplace, broker, agent, escrow service or payment processor for anything users arrange between themselves. We do not process, hold, guarantee or mediate payments, deposits or cost-sharing between users (for example boat rentals or shared plans). Never send money to people you have not met and verified yourself. Any financial arrangement between users is exclusively theirs, and we are not liable for non-payment, fraud or disputes arising from it.

11. Reporting and enforcement

There is zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. You can report or block any user from their profile or from a chat. We review reports of objectionable content and act within 24 hours — removing the content and ejecting the user who provided it when a violation is confirmed. We may, but have no obligation to, monitor or review content or communications, and not acting on a violation is not a waiver of our rights. We may also limit features, suspend, or permanently ban accounts that violate these Terms. A banned account cannot sign in.

12. Paid features

Some features may be offered for a fee or on a freemium basis; pricing is shown before purchase and processed by the App Store / Google Play under their terms. If subscriptions are offered, they renew automatically until you cancel them in your App Store / Google Play account settings, and the store's refund rules apply.

13. Disclaimers, release and limitation of liability

The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and uninterrupted or error-free operation. We do not warrant that you will obtain matches, dates, partners, trips or any particular result.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law: (a) One Place, its owner, employees and providers are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data or goodwill; (b) we are not liable for personal injury, death, emotional distress, property damage or any other loss arising out of user conduct, in-person meetings, or the activities described in Section 7; (c) we are not liable for events beyond our reasonable control, including outages, third-party services, or force majeure; and (d) our total aggregate liability for any claim related to the App shall not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or fifty US dollars (USD 50).

Release. To the maximum extent permitted by law, you release One Place and its affiliates from claims, demands and damages of every kind, known or unknown, arising out of or connected with disputes with other users or with third-party venues and services. These limitations are a fundamental basis of the bargain between you and us and survive termination.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law (for example, in some jurisdictions, liability for gross negligence or willful misconduct), nor does it limit mandatory consumer rights in your country of residence.

14. Indemnification

You will indemnify and hold One Place harmless from claims, losses and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from: your content; your use of the App and any activity under your account; your conduct towards other users, online or offline; your violation of any third party's rights; your participation in any meeting, trip, workout or activity arranged through the App; or your breach of these Terms or of applicable law.

15. Termination and changes

You may delete your account anytime. We may suspend or terminate access for violations, and we may change or discontinue the App or any feature at any time. We may update these Terms and will post a new "Last updated" date; where changes are material we will give reasonable notice in the App. Continued use means you accept the changes. Sections 5–14 and 16–18 survive termination.

16. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Chile, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you have a dispute with us, contact support@oneplace-app.com first — most issues can be resolved informally within 30 days. Otherwise, disputes will be resolved by the ordinary courts of Santiago, Chile, unless mandatory consumer-protection law of your country of residence gives you the right to a different forum. To the extent permitted by law, claims may be brought only in an individual capacity (not as a class or representative action) and must be filed within one year of the events giving rise to them.

17. Apple App Store and Google Play

If you downloaded the App from the Apple App Store: these Terms are between you and One Place only, not Apple; your license is a non-transferable license to use the App on Apple devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store terms; Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support; in case of failure to conform to an applicable warranty you may notify Apple for a refund of the purchase price (if any), and Apple has no other warranty obligation; One Place, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims relating to the App (including product liability, legal or regulatory compliance, consumer protection, and intellectual property); you represent that you are not located in an embargoed country and are not on any US government prohibited-parties list; and Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you. If you downloaded the App from Google Play, you also agree to comply with the Google Play terms of service.

18. General

These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and One Place about the App. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our not enforcing a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them to a successor of the service. Nothing here creates any partnership, agency or employment relationship between you and One Place or between users. These Terms are available in English and Spanish: where mandatory law of your country requires the local-language version, that version prevails; otherwise the English version prevails.
