Better Planet LLC (doing business as "One Place", "we", "us") operates the One Place mobile dating application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why, how we use and share it, and the choices and rights you have. By using the App you agree to this Policy.
The App is only for people aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If we learn that a user is under 18, we will delete the account.
You give us: account (email, password — stored only as a hash); profile (display name, date of birth, gender, who you want to meet, bio, photos); content (messages, requests, and reports you submit); and, when you use location features, your device's approximate or precise location.
Automatically: device and usage info, IP address, basic diagnostics, and a push token if you enable notifications.
From third parties: if you sign in with Google, we receive your basic Google profile.
Sensitive information. Some profile fields (such as your gender and who you want to meet) may reveal sensitive characteristics like sexual orientation. By providing them you consent to us processing them for the sole purpose of operating the App's matching and discovery features. We never use them for advertising and never sell them.
Photo verification. If you choose to verify your profile, we process your live selfie and your profile photo with an automated facial-comparison service (a cloud provider acting on our behalf) solely to check that they match. The selfie is used only for that check — it is not stored, not added to your profile, and not used for anything else.
To operate the App and matching, power location-based discovery, keep the community safe (review reports, block/ban abusive users), verify your email, send service messages and notifications you opt into, improve and secure the App, and comply with the law. We may use AI-assisted tools to help operate, personalize, and moderate the service; content you submit may be processed by AI service providers acting on our behalf. The Wellness area only routes you to the App's community features — we do not collect health or medical data.
We do not sell your personal data.
Location is used only for proximity features. Control it in your device settings; some modes won't work without it.
We keep data while your account is active. You can delete your account and data anytime in Profile → Delete account (we may keep limited records for legal/safety reasons). Depending on where you live you may also have rights to access, correct, port, or restrict your data — contact us to exercise them.
We use HTTPS, hashed passwords, and access controls. No system is perfectly secure.
